Request for quotations can be found in exactly the same way as notices and you’ll be sent email notifications when new RFQs are published that match your company’s profile. RFQs are generally either:
- Shortened – Where the value is less than £25,000, 3 quotes are needed (maximum of 7) and a decision can be made on price alone.
- Standard - Where the value is between £25,000-£93,000, 5 quotes are needed (maximum of 7) and a decision is split 60/40 between technical ability and price.
RFQs on sell2wales are described by the:
- Estimated value
- Selected regions where the services/ goods are required
- CPV codes
- Title of the RFQ
- Full description of the RFQ
- Start date/ delivery date
- Quantity required
- Closing date for responses
- Contact details for further information
After you’ve submitted your RFQ, the buyer reviews all of the quotes submitted and chooses to either accept or reject each quote. Either way, you’ll receive an email from the buyer via Sell2Wales.
