Sell2Wales

Finding Opportunities

Daily Notice Alerts

Sell2Wales can email you whenever suitable tenders have been added by buyers.

Using the site, you can subscribe to receive e-mail alerts of tenders specific to your company’s:

  • Products and services
  • Size
  • Location

Selecting the right categories is the most important step in ensuring you’re electronically notified of suitable Welsh public sector tenders. You can add as many codes as you like when registering and review them in your profile if you’re not being alerted about the right tenders in Wales.

Adding Top Level Categories, Strict vs. Fuzzy Matching

You can manage your Strict vs Fuzzy setting by editing your profile, going to the Users tab and editing a specific user.

If you set it to strict, you will only receive alerts that match your categories exactly. This means that if you choose a top level category, you will not receive notices that only include sub-categories.

If you set it to fuzzy, you will receive alerts that match your categories, their sibling categories or their sub-categories. This may mean you receive a lot of notices.

Using the 'My Daily Alerts History' in My Sell2Wales, you can also view the historical details of all notices that have been emailed to you over the past 12 months.

To make sure that you receive the e-mail messages you want from Sell2Wales, you should add us to your Address Book or your Safe Senders list.

Some programs/services allow you to add an entire domain to the list of safe senders. This would allow you to receive all emails coming from, for instance, the Sell2Wales.co.uk domain (i.e. support@sell2wales.co.uk).

For those programs that do not offer an option to add domains, you will need to add e-mail addresses individually to the list of safe senders. The two most commonly used are bounces@sell2wales.co.uk and support@sell2wales.co.uk.

Instructions are given below for several commonly used e-mail programs or services:

Microsoft Outlook (2003 or later)

  • From the Tools menu, select Options.
  • Junk E-mail then Junk E-mail Options.
  • On the Preferences tab, under E-mail, click Junk E-mail to open the Junk E-mail Options dialog box.
  • Click the Safe Senders tab.
  • Click Add.
  • Enter the e-mail address and click OK. To add the entire Sell2Wales domain, enter Sell2Wales.co.uk instead of the e-mail address. Click OK in the Junk E-mail Options window.

If you have an e-mail message from Sell2Wales, from that message you can also:

  • From the Actions menu, select Junk E-mail then either Add Sender to Safe Senders List or Add Sender’s Domain to Safe Senders List.
  • In Outlook 2007, if you have the message open in a separate window, you also can click the Safe Lists option in the Junk E-mail tab of the Ribbon and choose either Add Sender to Safe Senders List or Add Sender’s Domain to Safe Senders List.
